Welcome to Author Offerings. I am so happy to have you here today and to find out what your author offerings are. What is your latest offering?
Whispering Lake is my newest release.
What is Whispering Lake all about?
It’s a ghostly love story that includes three very hot and yummy werewolf brothers. Cassie is a college girl who has fallen in love with a ghost. In order to take her mind off her really screwed up love life, she travels to Whispering Lake with some friends. While she’s there, she meets Cole – a tall, dark, and scrumptious werewolf. Things get pretty hot and heavy between the two, but Matt is never far from Cassie’s thoughts. When he materializes at Whispering Lake, Cassie realizes she has a choice to make. The ghost of her dreams or the hottest werewolf of them all…
That sounds very cool. How did you come up with the idea?
Well, I’ve always had strange dreams and bits and pieces came to me when I was asleep. As I delved further into the characters of Matt, Cassie, and Cole, a story started to emerge. Several months later, and hours upon hours of obsessing over the story, Whispering Lake came to fruition. Writing it was the easy part. Editing it and getting it published was another matter!
Is this your first author offering, or do you have other books the readers should know about?
I have a werewolf series, The Ashton Grove Werewolves, where we delve a little further into the lives of Cole (from Whispering Lake) and his two brothers, Gabriel & Michael. There are various other werewolves involved in the series and it’s currently set up for at least 5 books – but that could change. Moonlight Protector, book 1 of the series, and Moonlight Hero, book 2 of the series, are available through Wild Horse Press in both e-book and trade paperback formats.
I have a witchy stand-alone novel titled Magnolia Magick, about a lonely ghost who falls for a woman staying in his antebellum plantation home. Jesse’s been dead for quite a while, but Lissa makes his heart pound, leaves him breathless (well, if he had breath), and makes him want something he can’t have – his life back. Or can he? Lissa may have a few tricks up her sleeve that could very well grant Jesse his greatest wish – but there’s a problem. Knowing that she can’t fall for a ghost, Lissa throws herself into a whirlwind relationship with local banker, Jared. But will the small town banker accept Lissa as she is? Or will he turn tail and run when he finds out she frequents a magick shop, has witches for friends, and casts a few spells herself?
You can find my e-books on All Romance Ebooks, Amazon Kindle, 1RomanceEbooks, and OmniLit. The trade paperbacks can be found on Amazon and Target websites.
What can we expect from you in the future, Jessica?
In addition to Whispering Lake being released in August, the 3rd book in the Ashton Grove series will be available October 27th, 2009. I have also finished a stand-alone werewolf novel called Vicus Luna. It doesn’t have a release date yet, but it will come out in 2009 (if I had to guess, I’d say possibly December).
I have two current works-in-progress: Heart’s Desire, a paranormal YA, and Moonlight Champion, book 4 of the Ashton Grove Werewolves. Both will be released in 2010.
Thank you for joining me. Is there anything else you'd like the readers to know?
