Welcome to Author Offerings. I am so happy to have you here today and to find out what your author offerings are. What is your latest offering?

Aaron's Wait, the second book in my Elliott Smith Mystery series has just been released.

What is Aaron's Wait all about?

Contractor Elliott Smith is having a problem...a tenant at his latest renovation project refuses to move, because he's waiting for
someone...and because he's dead and doesn't know it.

That sounds awesome, I love ghosts! How did you come up with the idea?

It's a natural follow up to the first book in the series, His Name is John in which Elliott Smith, an ordinary guy who does not believe in spirits, encounters a spirit who believes in him...and wants Elliott's help in finding his identity, and his killer.

Obviously not your first offering, what other books do you have the readers should know about?

In addition to the relatively new Elliott Smith series, I am also the author of the 12-book Dick Hardesty Mystery series, and the
stand-alone western/romance/adventure novel, Calico.

What can we expect from you in the future, Dorien?

The next book in the Dick Hardesty series is due out in November, and I'm currently working on the next Elliott Smith mystery.

Thank you for joining me. Is there anything else you'd like the readers to know?

Just that I am shameless in trying to find new readers for my books. I consider each one to be a one-sided conversation with a friend, and so I write every book with the reader in mind. That my protagonists are gay has not stopped me from developing a solid and growing reader base among mainstream mystery buffs, but I always want more. I invite everyone to stop by my website,, where they can read the first chapter of any (or all) of my books, and learn a bit more about just who this Dorien Grey person is.

Thank you and Author Offerings, Rie, for the chance to talk with your readers. I very much appreciate it.
